Level Select

After you have lost all your lives and the continue screen appears, hold Left until the pointer is at the top left. Now press 2, 2, 2, 2 then hold Right and press 2, 2, 2 then hold Left and press button 1. Move completely to either side of the screen before pressing either button. A level select screen will now appear.

Unlimited Lives

Do not press anything until you see the screen that says "press any button to play". Now hold Left and press 2, 2, 2, 2 then hold Right and press 2, 2, 2, then hold Left and press button 2. Move completely to the other side of the screen before pressing button 2.

Level Select:

To choose your starting level, start a game and lose all your lives. When the CONTINUE screen appears, hold LEFT until the cursor moves to the upper left, then press Button 2 four times. Now hold RIGHT until the cursor moves to the right side of the screen and press Button 2 three times. Finally, hold LEFT until the cursor returns to the left-hand side and press Button 1 once.

Cheat Mode

Pause the game and press Up, Right, Down, Left, Down. You now have options like unlimited ammunition, unlimited lives and level select.

Hints: Paying the landlord:

Give the betting slip to the barber. He'll ask you if you want to make a bet. The odds are 25:1. You will now have enough money to pay the landlord.

Hints: Proposing to Frankie:

Give the ring to Frankie after rescuing her. She will respond that she has to think about it. Stop in to see her before going to the police with the diamonds and show them to her. You'll receive a kiss and she will accept your proposal afterwards.

"Hot Coffee" Cheat

Here are the codes to activate The Apprentice cheats: All codes must be entered by holding down button 2 and moving the CD-i controller as indicated.

Enter the following codes in the Title Screen to activate the following:

To watch the Game Over animations, enter the following sequence:
